Skylon and the Festival of Love

Skylon and the Festival of Love

Throughout the month of August Skylon is celebrating the return of the Festival of Love at the Southbank Centre. The festival of Love is exactly that – an exploration of all forms of love through music, art, dance and performances. Tom Cook who is Head Chef at Skylon has created a five course tasting menu to celebrate. For £59 per person with an arrival ‘Southbank Love’ cocktail or £108 if you wish for the additional wine pairing you can experience this fantastic feast with each course based around aphrodisiac ingredients. Delight in a menu that encompases ingredients such as chilli and cucumber in sea bream carpaccio, or chilli pomegranate in a roasted duck breast. Or for those who have a sweet tooth perhaps a dark chocolate and cherry mousse or a cherry sorbet dessert tempt you.

The Festival of Love has a great deal on, half of which is free. Inside and out, for all ages showcasing top international dance acts amongst local community groups. The UK premier of AirPlay is also part of the bill and it features flying umbrellas, giant balloons and a huge snow globe.

“The festival invites everyone to share in the love Southbank Centre feels for cities and places, and the way love can inspire everyone to be creative and work to make the world a better place, whilst also looking at how the ways we love might be changing in the 21st century.”

Get down to Skylon and the Southbank Centre to partake in the romantic festivities.
