Le Collectionist, Chalet Orlaya – Courchevel, France
Le Collectionist was founded by three Parisian entrepreneurs, Olivier Cahané, Max Aniort and Eliott Cohen-Skalli, who were tired of experiencing disappointing homestays. Here at H&L we LOVE the properties that they source, hence why we have included 3 within this list. The first being Chalet Orlaya in Courchevel. Anchored on a mountain slope some 1500 metres from the centre of the ski resort, Chalet Orlaya is a modern gem encased in a traditional façade. Although the property sleeps 10 peoples (5 bedrooms), it would be a fabulous couples escape for a group. The inside of the house features huge windows occupying the height of the entire two floors. This allows the white light of the mountain tops to flow in and at the same time provides the stunning views that surround the cabin. A fire place made from ancient stones is set in the middle of the living-room proving the perfect place to snuggle up together after a day on the slopes. The bedrooms also benefit from the unique view over the surrounding landscapes, large white expanses and vertiginous slopes sometimes covered by conifers.
5 x bedrooms, sleeps 10 – From £3,197 to £8,930 per night.

Le Collectionist, Chalet Paltar – Val d’Isère
Our second Le Collectionist property is Chalet Paltar, an authentic alpine chalet made entirely out of wood, hidden right in the middle of dizzyingly high panoramas. Even larger than Chalet Orlaya, Chalet Paltar sleeps 20 people (10 rooms) so would be a fantastic place to celebrate an anniversary or an engagement with friends and family. On the outside of the chalet, on the side of a steep slope, vapour emanates from a spa and jacuzzi, evaporating into the immense whiteness of the haughty landscapes. A sauna and a treatment room are found under the impressive structure of the abode, preceded by two large living areas. Each of the bedrooms is equipped with an adjoining bathroom. Some of the comfortable suites also have a private balcony, a bathtub or direct access to the terrace, a peaceful space suspended over the valley with astonishing views. Steep slopes carpeted with powder disappear in the hollows and folds of a wild and vertiginous stretch. This is the training ground of the man who won three successive medals in the same Olympic Games, in Grenoble, in 1968. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the property comes with a dedicated team of 7 chalet staff and offers a chauffeur service from 8am –2am.
10 x bedrooms, sleeps 20 people – From £2,545 to £8,296 per night

Le Collectionist, Chalet Varda – Val d’Isère
Our final pick from the Le Collectionist properties is Chalet Varda, is a two-storey cottage that combines comfort and luxury through the warmth of a traditional chalet and mix of contemporary design. The terrace is the perfect area to relax and meditate with a breathtaking view while others can take advantage of the incredible indoor pool and steam room after a long day on the slopes. On the first floor, the lounge with soft and sleek lines offers perfect intimacy with a warm fireplace framed by 2 panoramic windows. Huge sofas and armchairs complete this cosy ambiance, and a refined décor with Andrew Martin designer furnishings and traditional Savoy objects make the elegant atmosphere complete.
5 x bedrooms, sleeps 10 – from £1,536 to £4,912 per night.
