Discovering a new hotel is like finding treasure at the end of the rainbow for us here at H&L HQ. So when we discovered a brand new sensual opening in the upscale Charlottenburg neighbourhood in West Berlin we just had to find out more. Part of the The Design Hotels™ group and a pet project for renowned Amsterdam-based interior designer Saar Zafrir, Provocateur Berlin is immersive and provocative just as you would expect; draped in seductive velvet fabrics, moody lighting and dark natural stone that follow throughout the hotel, bar and restaurant.
The rooms and suites of the Provocateur have one thing in common: quality, comfort, and superb design. Particular. Glamorous. Addictive, even. Think Gatsby glamour and Moulin Rouge chic. This is a hotel that takes inspiration from Paris in and blends it with Berlin heart and soul.
If you can manage to tear yourself away from the magnificent bedrooms we urge you to check out the restaurant. Although we have yet to visit we hear that the captivating cuisine of Chef Duc Ngo is not to be missed. Blending French techniques with the complex, ancient flavour combinations of Chinese cooking, Chef Duc Ngo seduces guests with his otherworldly French-Chinese culinary creations.
Before heading back to the boudoir make sure you pop into the bar; another exquisitely designed part of the hotel. Here you will be enveloped in its seductive atmosphere whilst sipping on enchanting elixirs.
