BAO has opened today its second restaurant in Fitzrovia following its hugely successful eatery over in Soho. BAO is Taiwanese quite simply beans ‘bun’ and they are the order of the day here. Specifically a fluffy, white, milky steamed bun. The buns themselves are steamed using milk, wheat flour and a Chinese roux to make a delicious meal. The absolute favourite has to be the BAO with fried chicken and pork belly.
Yet they also serve alongside these Bao’s a number of Taiwanese inspired dishes for those that feel they wish to try something a little different.
